Another year, another test of endurance.  This was a very unique race.  For starters it was my 10th running of this marathon and perhaps the coldest.  I had the great pleasure of hanging with Bryon Mondok, Chris Tress and David Rebak.  While we did not cross the finish line together, we all FINISHED.

Some interesting things about this marathon:

1.  There was ice on the road at the water stops.

2. I did not discard any layered clothing because of the cold.

3. I read a shirt that stated Dead Last Finish is greater than Did Not Finish is greater than Did Not Start...I thought it was appropriate.

Although I did not set a PR, I did enjoy the race (yes ENJOY).  It was a quick weekend.  I drove  up on Saturday, raced on Sunday morning and was home by 3:30 pm on Sunday evening.

Will there be an 11th? I am almost 100% sure, but it doesn’t count until you actually sign up 🙂
