Life Change: Erica’s Story

I have asked our students to share what God has shown them this summer.  This story comes from one of our students who attended Student Life Camp this past week…

I just wanted to share my story with you and hopefully the rest of the church will be inspired by it. As you well know I got a concussion yesterday. The pain was incredibly bad and I could barely even hold a conversation with anyone. The doctor said that it was not a good idea for me to participate in Worship last night but I wanted to go anyways. I will admit that it was hard at times with everyone screaming and clapping but I solved that by covering my ears. I also could barely handle the flash photography and the strobe lights so I fixed that by wearing sunglasses and having people think I was blind. However, once we got to the sermon I saw Matt Smith and Aaron Stoianno praying and so I laid my hands on them and prayed over them. The whole time I was praying for them I did not feel that headache and I wasn’t affected by the pain at all. To me this just says that even though Satan will try to make it hard for us to praise God, as long as you stay strong then the Lord will help you through it. Now that I think about it, I am okay with my injury because of what it has proved to me.
