“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.” 1st Timothy 4:12
After putting on the armor of God this morning, we went out into Brattleboro, VT, the least
reached city in the US, as we headed into the city we could tell it was spiritually dark. We met at the Riverbank Church offices and dispersed into 2 groups. We had the opportunity to walk around the city and pray for the individual houses that we will be hanging door hangers on tomorrow. After our prayer walk we discussed what stood out to us throughout the day. Pastor Chris and Aaron (video tech) mentioned to us that not only do we need to affect the previous generation but also our generation. As we passed a local high school, we prayed specifically for the students who will step foot into the school. We believe that prayer is powerful and can make a difference. “Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful and pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message…” Colossians 4:2-3a
I have said that verse, “Let no one despise you because you are young…” many times…to be an example to non-believers is important, and to be an example to each other is vital! Please know that you are being talked to God about, and that we love you…go in His strength, protection, and power, only to give Him glory, now and forevermore….love, a mom and friend….
