Taylor is one of our rising freshmen. Â She is a great blessing to student ministry and was a great addition to our New Hampshire Team. Â Here is her story.
I have known since camp that I was called to Haiti and I think why God put me on the New Hampshire trip was like a test, to see of I can make it through Haiti. After what we did and went through in New Hampshire, it makes me want to go to Haiti even more and more. I thought and prayed about why i was put on the missions trip and why i want to and feel called to go to Haiti so much. I was texting a friend, who feels called to go back to New Hampshire and it hit me. I feel for Haiti so much and the people there because they are in physical and spiritual pain in Haiti unlike in New Hampshire, where most people just have spiritual pain. People in New Hampshire have a home and food (for the most part) but people in Haiti have nothing and that breaks my heart. This week, i have learned that i have have a heart for not only the people in New Hampshire but also in Haiti. Brattleboro, VT the place we served, was so spiritually dark that it makes it hard to imagine a place worse than that. This week has really impacted me and made me grow in my faith. I thank God that I had to opportunity to go there and serve along side with Riverbank Church. I have made so many new friends and got to know a lot of people there. I will always remember this as my first missions trip and I can’t wait till I can go again!
