Thinking back to the last thing that made me stand in awe…I would have to say the birth of my children and living through two category 3 hurricanes were two things that made me stand in awe….and for very different reason.
With respect to our kids, I still count it amazing how God orchestrates life. Â To think we come from tiny building blocks of protein, DNA, and genetic road maps (chromosomes) is amazing. Â To even ponder how our God has put this together and has deemed this possible is absolutely amazing. Â He could have easily had us arrive in a flash of light or in a blink of an eye…instead each one of us (you and I) were carefully crafted to HIS satisfaction. Â This shows me in a real tangible way how much God is interested in the details.
With respect to the hurricanes, to see the brut strength of God was eye opening. Â We think of God as loving…which is true, but He is also just. Â To see tops of homes ripped off and over 10″ of rainfall in less than 24 hours indicated to me the awesome amount of power of God has. Â It reminds me that although God is all powerful, He also cares for us and seeks to have a relationship with with the same amount of power. Â Think about that….our God who is the creator of all wants to have individual time with you and I.
If that doesn’t cause you to stand in awe then something is up with you!
