11The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace.
This is one of the biggest things that most Christians struggle with. Â To acknowledge that we have peace in God and to really believe it are two very different things. Â There have been times in my own life when I have to remind myself that ultimately God is in control, He loves me, and in the end He wins. Seriously, sounds crazy for an adult to say that, but it’s true. Â I think if you are like me, we forget what true peace is.
In the Pauline introductions (Intro’s that Paul wrote), he always says grace and peace to you. Â It’s funny neither you nor I can truly understand the peace of God until we understand His grace.
I think for those of us who have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, we forget that we have peace because we have grace. Â A grace that extends further than your deepest darkest secret. Â A grace that should bring a peace that extends past your deepest darkest situation.
May God’s peace fill you up this Christmas season!
How did this scripture/devotion hit you? Â I would love to hear from you!
