23″Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son,and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which translated means, “God with us.”

God IS with us!  Imagine how some people first gave thought to the Son of God as a baby.  Their though of God with them may have been a little skewed…they were thinking that God would come down and repel the Roman rule and return Israel back to her glory.  Yet there he lay…in a manager.  The fact still remained the same…God was with us.  He was with them, He is with us now.

In what way is God with us that is unexpected?  I think if you are like me, I put expectations on how God is suppose to be in a situation.  To be honest I am confused at how God works in my life.  I expect one thing, and He provides something else.  The fact still remains … God is with us.  Our God is wise, powerful, loving, just…He knows what you and I need and more importantly when we need it.

He gave His people what they needed when they needed it.  Thank goodness for our loving Father who takes good care of us!
