27but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, 28and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are,
God uses those who are obedient and humble.  This is an accurate statement….however in our minds we think that in order to be used by God we have to be strong, smart, and near perfect.  All through out the scriptures we see stories of how God used people and events to accomplish HIs will.  The thing about today’s devotion is that God chooses to use people like you and I (imperfect beings) to do His will.  God could easily make things happen without any of us…yet our  Heavenly Father chooses to use you and I.
I think we get frustrated because we want to be used by God but we feel as if we have nothing to offer. Â Here is something to think about, you and I have nothing to offer God. Â He created all that you and I could ever offer (now that will make you feel like the size of a spec of dirt). Â Seriously, God does not ‘need’ us…yet He chooses to accomplish His will through us. Â So what is required of us? Â What do we have to do to be used by God? Â It’s simple…we first have to believe in Jesus and second we have to humble ourselves before God.
What did this devotion say to you today?
