The life of a student pastor is somewhat predictable. Summers are absolutely insane and the rest of the year is just crazy. The past twelve months have been absolutely awesome….crazy but very awesome. I have seen God work in amazing ways.
This week I have pressed pause on the year and have dedicated time to my first ministry…my family. We have been blessed to have my wife’s sister, husband and their kids in town. Their visit was just what we as a family needed. We have laughed, heard the word “mommy” countless times (with 7 kids in the house ranging in age between 8 and 2 these sort of things happen), veg’d out and have made several delicious coffee drinks (courtesy of the Gaggia classic).
I have also continued in with my college course work. The study of the book of Acts has been fascinating, motivating and inspiring. I am so looking ahead to what God has for our family and the ministry. He is so faithful even when we are not…He is so good even when things look bleak…He provides for us even when we are not deserving.
Continuing to exhale and review the year..still digesting all that God has done (and is doing)….more to discus in the coming days.
It was a great week. So fun to be together like we are never apart! Jake has now detoxes from his video game addiction. lol
