We just had a wonderful 10 day break from our ‘normal’ lives to spend time with each other. What a time of refreshment! I got to see little characteristics of my kids I have never seen before. For instance did you know that Bode likes to wear a key chain clip because it makes him feel like me?
For the record, I don’t wear a key chain clip…but hey I will take the ‘cool dad’ status anyway I can get it. Did you know that Myleigh and I rode a water slide at least 15 times back to back…and then followed that up with us watching a Barbie movie? It was awesome! Kinley and I got to hug a lot! In fact I learned that she just likes/needs lots of hugs (I am ok with this…in fact I really like this)! Colty is a hoot. I saw him come out of his shell even more (serious thanks to the outstanding folks at Southbrook Christian PreSchool for being great teachers) and organize a game of ‘shark’ with several kids his own age in the kid pool (AKA warm water pool…another post for another time). I got to see my wife Kelli be herself…she is awesome and hot…order is not important…just an aside. She is an amazing woman.
I spent some time in Acts living the adventure with Paul as well. So many incredible things to think about. I won’t lie, it was hard turning ‘life’ off, but to be honest I actually think by turning my ‘normal’ off I got to see, hear, and be a part of a wonderful time with my family. I am thankful for many things in life. Seriously, I am blessed.
