Celebrating day three of Kelli’s getaway, three days of surprise sick kids, and three hours of sleep last night. I honestly thought we were done with this ‘bug’. It turns out that our last hold out, Kinley, finally succumbed to
the ways of the super bug. The day began at 12:15am with a request from Mykeigh to come help Kinley. When I walked into the girls room, I saw Kinley (on the top bunk) unloading dinner onto Myleigh’s bed (bottom bunk). I was perplexed, bothered, and worried. I quickly got Kinley cleaned up and re-situated in the overnight hostel that we recently added to our bedroom (it apparently has become all the rage with our kids) . Once she was situated I reopened the laundry mat and got all of the girls bedding into the wash. Kinley was worried so we stayed up talking until 3am. I knew what a was coming but felt it was necessary to go the extra mile to comfort the family hypochondriac :). The only problem with staying up late in our home is Bode. Bode lives to wake up early. I have not had to set my alarm in years. He wakes up faithfully between 530-6 am every day. Knowing that the pain train was coming I prayed. Prayed for the health of my family, for my wife, and for God to multiply my time in REM sleep. Breakfast came…coffee was had and our day went forward. We didn’t do too much today. We will not be at church tomorrow so I will be leading Children’s ministry at home tomorrow morning. Looking forward to another great day!
