About a year ago I started doing a study of the book of Revelation. It’s a book that has always fascinated me as well as many others. It was a really interesting book because as you actually study it you realize that it’s not about the when or even the how (although there are countless rabbit trails) things will go down but it’s actually a wonderful illustation of how Christ is in control and on the throne and how grace has already won. I learned about proleptic statements…and what a wonderful one ‘grace already won’ is. The entire book has lots of interesting nooks and crannys but if you simply read it and take it at face value (in order by chapter) it paints a wonderful plan that God has for His people. The book illustrates why we need a Savior now andy why putting it off is a BAD idea. In chapter 21 we learn that the new Jersualem will be 2.25 million square miles compared to New York City which is a mere 303 square miles. This book really gives you a sense of just how big God really is…how much He loves us and what our time in eternity will be like. If you have never studied this book may I recommend three resources…
