Lessons Learned from ‘The Christian Atheist;

Let me start off by saying that I am not a ‘fast’ reader.  It usually takes me a few weeks to read a book for ‘enjoyment’.  I picked this book up two months ago and recently had an opporunity to spend some time with it (air travel gives me ample time to read).  First and foremost, this book was great.  People usually say that about every book they read…but in all seriousness this book IS great.  Pastor Craig addresses things that most Christians have or are currently struggling with.  Is this a book for a new believer?…Is this book going to make you feel good?…the answers are NO and NO.  Will this book shed light on problems you have had or currently struggle with?  YES.  My only question for the author is where was this book 10 years ago?  The Lord being who the Lord is allowed Pastor Craig to convey a great message of how awesome our Savior is and how shallow our faith can be.  Regardless if you are ‘in’ ministry or not, if you have a relationship with Jesus you need to read this book.  You will be challenged and encouraged as Pastor Craig uses personal examples from his own life to point out the obvious but usually avoided taboos of our faith.
