This is tough question.  The Christian answer would be Christ however I want to dig in a bit deeper.  There are several things that drive me.  What I want to share about today is my call to be a husband .

I am 35 years old and still think of myself as a college aged individual.  Although the juvenile antics continue,my responsibilities have grown since college.  I got married in 2002 and am the proud father of four children (ages 4.5, 3, 1.5, and 7 weeks).  I love my wife and my family with all of my heart; in fact they are the most important thing on this Earth to me.

When I reflect on my role as a husband I feel a sense of both honor and urgency.  Honor because I am so excited that God has given me  my wife, and urgency because of the responsibility of leadership that God has called me too.  When I have to make ‘family’ decisions I not only want to make the right decision, I want to be certain of it and lead my family accordingly.

So what drives me?  What drives me is my deserving wife.  She deserves to be led according to God’s will.  She deserves a spiritual leader…therefore I in hand rely on God for both guidance and direction with respect to being the spiritual leader of my home.
