The Second Run:
I set out to do 4 miles today. Â I must note a few differences between this 4 mile run and my first 4 mile run. Â For starters it was raining, so my feet (as well as the rest of my body) were soaking wet. Â Additionally I opted to run with socks. Â I did this to see if I there were any notable differences.
I have the KSO’s which mean that there is a neoprene sock that ‘keeps stuff out’. Â This neoprene sock has a seam which ties in the main part of the shoe. Â I make mention of this because at mile 3 I notices a slight irritation where the seam was. Â Now it’s hard to say if the water caused this, the lack of socks or both but I did end of up with a slight blister on my left foot. Â My right heal was still a little sore from the other day ( I believe to a fitting problem) but I really didn’t have any issues with it this morning. Â I took me about a half mile to hit my stride and to work out the soreness in my lower legs.
Tomorrow I have a 5 mile run and saturday I have an 11 mile run.  I plan on running my 11 mile run with my Brooks.  I may let my (baby) blister  heal up prior to running in the Virbram’s again.  I want to objectively evaluate these shoes.  The only way to do this is to make sure my feet are ‘ship shape’ prior to each run.  Overall I still like the shoes.  I anticipate at least another week or so or running will be needed before I can call them ‘home’.

You’re deffinitley doing the right thing! I’d advise you to take it slow with FiveFingers at first, just wear them for short burst to allow your feet ti adjust to the motion of running barefoot! Oh and to stop blisters you could try wearing Injinji socks 🙂
