Sunday Morning:
Got to  hang in the main service today…got to see a bunch of people get baptized.  I love watching these sorts of things…always reminds me that God is still doing what He does best…changing lives!
Was perplexed at the people who left at the beginning of the baptisms…not sure what could have been more important.
I was also fascinated with the concept that some folks have with church. Â Seems like worship is a time to eat breakfast and to hang out. Â Saddened me to see so many people miss an opportunity to come before the throne in song. Â Our eternity will be spent worshipping.
Hung out with Drayton, Gage, the Shiverdeckers, and several other students/leaders. Â Blessed to be on such a great team and blessed to be at Southbrook Church.
Sunday Night:
- Continued our study of the book or revelation with the study of the the letters to Pergamos and Thyatira. Â Boiled it down to not allowing our tolerance for things that are unholy to take root in our lives. Â God’s Word should be the instrument that cuts out those things which are unholy and do not belong. Â Good word from a very wise and old Apostle John. Â Grateful that he was obedient to the spirit.
- Sent Maximus Golden Gnomicus home with Gage…not sure it that’s a bad idea or good idea…pictures to follow.
- About to crash….the sunday night crash…those are the best 🙂
Ryan here,
My mom was baptized as well! She was kinda’ rededicating her life! She was baptized when she was 12, but it was a sort of a “get-outta-hell-free” deal though.
See ya round,
