This is the second post of my ongoing series of what drives me. Â To see the first post click here. Â I am an overachiever. Â I was never really worried make the honor roll in high school or have a perfect GPA in college but I was thrived on learning things. Â I remember Kishor Mehta (a professor I had in the School of Engineering) stating that we should be more concerned about “life long learning”. Â That has seemed to stick with me. Â Although this information seems logical to some, to me it struck a chord very early on in my adult life.
Today I follow this with my responsibilities as a Pastor. Â I am not afraid to say that I do not know everything. Â In fact I believe this is all part of Gods sense of humor. Â He has stretched me in my analytical capacity and also my care capacity. Â Care you say…yes CARE. Â You see the only course I took on caring for others (as it relates to being a Pastor) was a course titled “Basic Interpersonal Relationship Skills”. Â The high light of that class was our feelings log. Â With that said God has really stretched me over the past 7 years to not only serve His people but to love and care for them as well. Â I don’t know everything, but I am committed to a life of learning.
