New Hampshire Missions Trip: Day 3

Day 3:  Today we spent time doing prayer walks through White River Junction and Hanover.  Each area was slightly different.  Hanover is home to Dartmouth college and White River Junction is home to working class families.  Our teams walked the streets praying for people, families, students and the Upper Valley in general.  It was awesome to see the students pick up on the apparent ‘darkness’ in this area.  Most people don’t make eye contact with you or even respond to friendly ‘hello’.

Our ‘fun’ activities included eating lunch at The Cottage located in Woodstock, Vermont…basically it was fried food served on paper plates and an instant bump of 15% in cholesterol.  The Cottage was located on a river…so naturally we ventured out to get our feet wet.   The students had a wonderful time.  From there we went to Cabot’s tourist trap 🙂 (sometimes you have to do these things).  There we sampled many cheeses, had some maple soda and even toured an antique toy museum.  This by the way concerned me…there toys that I used to play with in this museum…does that mean I am getting old?

Once we got back to our lodging facilities we were greeted by the awesome aroma of BBQ chicken.  The students hung out, played games and we all got to grow closer to each other as a team.  The Lord is good!  Pray for us as tomorrow we will be heading out to hang door hangers (invites) in the communities we prayed for yesterday.
