First of all if you volunteer at your church you now only ROCK you are setting an incredible Biblical example. Â I know if it were not for the adult volunteers serving in the Southbrook Student ministry we would not be able to accomplish all that God has called us to do.
The volunteers in the student ministry serve in various areas but with one main purpose; to reach those who do not yet know Jesus.  No single decision matters more!  I am both honored and humbled by those who are so giving of their time.  To me it’s the most precious gift.
The adults serving in the student ministry serve as Small Group leaders, Volunteer Coordinators, Event Coordinators, Life Group Leaders and as Lead Teachers. Â Each of these roles is uniquely different but requires a passion to not only know the students but to care for their eternity. Â I am so blown away each weekend when I see leaders gathered in small groups rightly dividing the Word of God. Â As for myself and so many more before me, it is this Word which changes lives. Â It is this Word that draws us to God. Â Looking at these small groups on Sunday mornings is like looking at a launch pad for some sort of rocket. Â The potential is so incredible!
In addition to the adults that are volunteering, we have a small army of students (close to half of the student ministry) that also volunteer. Â They serve in the Children’s Ministry, Small Group Leaders, Worship/Production Team and First Impression Team members. Â These students just get it…seriously, they get what living their faith is all about.
I am so honored to be on this team and to see first hand the work God is doing in this ministry. Â If you have ever thought about being a part of the student ministry volunteer team check this page out.
