Today me and some buddies went for a hike.  It was great.  We went the wrong way, hiked further than we were suppose to…crawled all over rocks, talked to a guy who claimed follow buddhism (yet has never went to a temple), and had some fine Mexican food in Gastonia, NC.

It was a much needed man day.  There is something about just getting outside…observing creation.  I started reading through Genesis a few days ago so my venture outside was timely.  Seems like during the holiday season everything gets way too busy.  Glad to have things slow down for a while.  Summer is coming up in five months and I will find myself slammed once more.  Time with the family this past week has been great.  Glad I could take some time to reflect on 2011, my family and even sneak a hike in. God is good!
