Passing The Buck

Been reading ‘Spiritual Leadership’ by J. Oswald Sanders.  Chapter 7 proposes an interesting dilema.  The author states,

“When God call us, we cannot refuse from a sense of inadequacy.”.  He further states “Let us not pass the buck of leadership because we think ourselves incapable”.

This is such a convicting statement.  No matter if you are single, married, or if you manage a house full of cats, nothing is more important than God’s call on our lives.  Often times when God calls us to step out in faith, it’s easy for us to say  I am not qualified, or I can’t do that right now.  We blame ourselves and often point to our short comings as reasons not to do what God has called us to do.  Moses tried to do this.  He basically iterated to God that he was not a public speaker.  God used his weakness for His own glory.

This makes me wonder what weakness I have that God wants to use.  It makes me pray for strength to follow Him in obedience…even if it means doing something that I may not be ‘good’ at.
