So how did a middle school student change the life of  friend? It’s simple, they invited them to church. Last night we had an event we call MERGE.  MERGE is simply a time where we invite students to invite their friends to come and hear the life changing message of the Gospel.
 One of our middle school students (who just accepted Christ less than a month ago) invited a friend.  After a night of worship, message and communion questions were asked and the truth about salvation and how it’s obtained (through faith alone) were answered.  It’s always a blessing to see someone come to understand who Jesus is and why He died for us….that never gets old.
What I would like to see is for more of our students to invite their friends out so that they too can hear the life changing message of Jesus Christ. It’s a huge statement to say that one invite can change a life. Â One simple ask in this case resulted in a salvation! Â Yeah God!
It was awesome to come into the presence of the Holy Spirit last night, it really made my Friday. I’m so glad someone else was able to have their Friday made in such a powerful way! 🙂
I agree with Amy! It was so awesome to be a part of MERGE and the worship. It’s so exhilarating to know and feel what God can do through us and the rest of the students in student ministries!
